MANCHESTER, NH – Quirk Chevrolet Buick GMC is partnering with Manchester East Soccer League on the Chevy Youth Sports program, a partnership program built to position Chevrolet as the Official Vehicle of Youth Sports while providing an opportunity for local youth sports leagues to grow.The partnership features a one-time monetary contribution to assist Manchester East Soccer League with registration fees, equipment costs, facility maintenance and other administrative fees.
“Sports can help kids develop skills like leadership, cooperation, and sportsmanship while bringing families and communities together to show their support,” said Jeff Burditt, for Quirk Chevrolet Buick GMC. “Quirk Chevrolet Buick GMC and Chevy Youth Sports are proud to help Manchester East Soccer League bring so many smiles to kids and families in Manchester. Chevy believes in the power of play as a way for young people to build the skills needed to be successful in the future.”

The Chevy Youth Sports program gives Chevrolet dealerships the opportunity to provide support for youth athletic programs across the country. In 2023, over 600 Chevrolet dealerships will participate in the program nationwide.

A Message from our President - Fundraiser Extended to October 11, 2022
I am hoping that you have received your hard copies of the cash calendars. If you have not please check with your player's Coaches or Team Parent. A few details that we wanted to remind you of...even though the calendars say we are only selling them through September 30, we will actually be selling them through October 11. The calendars were delayed through the printer and we want to make sure everyone has adequate time to make some sales!
Remember it is the only fundraiser that we do as it is our way of offsetting costs and keeping registration fees at a minimum. The $5.00 donation
gets you a chance at winning every day. Even if you win once, your name
will be re-entered into the drawing for future days drawings.
If you have any questions about the calendars or need more calendars to sell

Games and Practices canceled for City-Wide Mosquito Spraying on all City Parks

Mosquito control spraying set for Sept. 12 on city properties
MANCHESTER, NH –City of Manchester Health Department announced Thursday that there will be spraying to control adult mosquitoes on Monday September 12 from 5 p.m. – 12 a.m. If weather conditions are not acceptable on September 12, 2022, spraying will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the same time.
According to Anna Thomas, Public Health Director, “The Manchester Health Department continues to identify mosquitoes which have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). This raises the risk level to “high” as determined by the NH Department of Health and Human Services’ State Arboviral Illness Surveillance, Prevention, and Response Plan.
Since the evening use of sports fields and some parks, when people are more apt to be bitten by mosquitoes, has increased with the commencement of the fall sports leagues, we want to be proactive in protecting the public health of the community. In addition to this action, residents must continue to protect themselves through the use of appropriate insect repellent and wearing long pants and long sleeved shirts at dawn and dusk and the elimination of mosquito breeding areas.”

Local Support Means the World to MESL!
Manchester East Soccer League receives a jump kick in support
MANCHESTER, NH – As part of their ongoing efforts to support youth sports, Quirk Chevy has donated $1,000 to the Manchester East Soccer League which will be used to help address some of the league’s financial needs.
Dan Adams, President of Manchester East Soccer League said, “This generous donation will be used to purchase soccer equipment and provide funding for field maintenance costs. It will also help families who would be financially unable to register their children to play.”
Rachel Victer, Public Relations Manager for Quirk said, “For over forty years Quirk has been supporting a number of youth sports and enrichment programs benefiting youngsters in New Hampshire. It’s a joy seeing children hitting the field engaging in a healthy lifestyle and learning leadership and team-building skills that will last a lifetime”.
Quirk is one of the largest New England auto dealers, currently operating 16 active dealerships and service centers and employing over 1,500 employees located throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The company also owns and operates Quirk Parts Depot, a 200,000 square foot warehouse that delivers OEM auto parts worldwide.

Cash Calendars Winners to be drawn....soon, but not tonight!
Good evening MESL Parents,
Tonight is the night the league was going to start drawing winners of the cash calendars; however, we have decided to extend the calendar sales through October 8th, with a final drawing on November 8th. Here's your chance to sell/purchase calendars if you haven't already!
I think it is important to make sure everyone realizes how much our league relies on fundraising and sponsors to keep our registration costs down. The league hasn't had a price increase in years, and we even decreased our prices last year during the height of COVID to assist parents that were potentially struggling. In addition to lower registration costs last year, we did not open the concession stand - it really affected how much money the league took in last season. This year we have had less than 25% participation in our fundraiser throughout the league. We always strive for 100% participation throughout the league; however, we also understand that times may still be tight for many families.
We’d like to propose a little more time to try to sell more cash calendars. If ten is too many, maybe you could try for five? We will keep sales open until October 8th. If we can surpass at least $5500.00 in sales, the league will increase the final prize to $250. The calendar not only helps our league with its costs, but it helps to support the businesses that sponsor us throughout the season.
Since we are keeping the sales open, I am putting out a challenge out to everyone to sell as many cash calendars as you are able. If that number is only 1 or 2 – ok! If you can sell 20 – fantastic! Every bit helps. If we can get over our minimum goal, we will increase the last prize drawn from $150 to $250!
