Register Early to avoid the late fee!
MANCHESTER, NH – As part of their ongoing efforts to support youth sports, Quirk Chevy has donated $1,000 to the Manchester East Soccer League which will be used to help address some of the league’s financial needs.
Dan Adams, President of Manchester East Soccer League said, “This generous donation will be used to purchase soccer equipment and provide funding for field maintenance costs. It will also help families who would be financially unable to register their children to play.”
Rachel Victer, Public Relations Manager for Quirk said, “For over forty years Quirk has been supporting a number of youth sports and enrichment programs benefiting youngsters in New Hampshire. It’s a joy seeing children hitting the field engaging in a healthy lifestyle and learning leadership and team-building skills that will last a lifetime”.
Quirk is one of the largest New England auto dealers, currently operating 16 active dealerships and service centers and employing over 1,500 employees located throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The company also owns and operates Quirk Parts Depot, a 200,000 square foot warehouse that delivers OEM auto parts worldwide.
Good evening MESL Parents,
Tonight is the night the league was going to start drawing winners of the cash calendars; however, we have decided to extend the calendar sales through October 8th, with a final drawing on November 8th. Here's your chance to sell/purchase calendars if you haven't already!
I think it is important to make sure everyone realizes how much our league relies on fundraising and sponsors to keep our registration costs down. The league hasn't had a price increase in years, and we even decreased our prices last year during the height of COVID to assist parents that were potentially struggling. In addition to lower registration costs last year, we did not open the concession stand - it really affected how much money the league took in last season. This year we have had less than 25% participation in our fundraiser throughout the league. We always strive for 100% participation throughout the league; however, we also understand that times may still be tight for many families.
We’d like to propose a little more time to try to sell more cash calendars. If ten is too many, maybe you could try for five? We will keep sales open until October 8th. If we can surpass at least $5500.00 in sales, the league will increase the final prize to $250. The calendar not only helps our league with its costs, but it helps to support the businesses that sponsor us throughout the season.
Since we are keeping the sales open, I am putting out a challenge out to everyone to sell as many cash calendars as you are able. If that number is only 1 or 2 – ok! If you can sell 20 – fantastic! Every bit helps. If we can get over our minimum goal, we will increase the last prize drawn from $150 to $250!
Let's make this happen!!
Thanks for considering,
Christina Hebert

Good morning MESL families,
We are now down to 5
days, to register your players, to avoid the registration Late Fee.
The late fee will begin on July 15th. Registering early will assist in
our team-building process, and will allow us to determine the number of
volunteer coaches/team parents, plus team sponsors needed for the season.
Please consider registering as a coach or team parent, as our league is
solely comprised of volunteers. You can accomplish this while registering
your soccer players. If you would like more information regarding these
positions, please reply to this email.
You can proceed to our registration by clicking the link below:
Thank you to those who have registered to date.
Our Fall season will be here before you know it! We're looking forward
to another successful season.
Thank you,

SPRING 2021 COVID 19 UPDATE
Due to the drop in COVID 19 cases across NH and the vaccination rate pushing 60%, the New Hampshire Soccer Association has decided to drop its mask policies for all vaccinated players, coaches, spectators and participants.
The NHSA Executive Board thanks all its members for their continued support. NH is among a few states in the nation with little transmission between players and/or coaches and no record of transmission between two different teams. The NHSA will continue to monitor look closely as we finish the spring season, enter the summer season and plan for the fall.
Thanks,
Rusty Wightman
President
New Hampshire Soccer Association
Q: My older children's coaches have called. I have not heard from our U6 coach. Are we registered? Have we been forgotten?
A: No, you have not been forgotten. Traditionally, U6 starts on the first Wednesday after Labor Day. U6 plays at 6:00 pm on Wednesdays and 9:00 am on Saturday mornings. U6 is the only division that has a set schedule.
Q: I forgot my coach's name and phone number. How do I reach them?
A: Email registrar@mesl.org with your child's name and your name and we will email you his/her coach's information.
Q: Will the schedules be on the website?
A: Our schedules will be posted on our website as soon as they are available. We hope our sponsors can come and see the games, too! For the competitive divisions, game scores and standings will also be available.
Q: Is it too late to volunteer?
A: No! We always need help, in all areas of league operation. Right now, we are actively searching for referees, coaches and assistant coaches, and concession staff. Please contact any of our Board Members for more information.
Q: What do the sponsors receive in exchange for their support?
A: Check out the great deals our sponsors receive!
Q: How old do you have to be to become a referee?
A: Children 12 and over can learn to be referees. Check out more information HERE
Q: Do I have to go to Registration Night?
A: No, you don't, but we would love to see you all! You can register by going HERE. If this is your child's first year with us, please enclose a copy of their birth certificate for our records in an email to registrar@mesl.org (PLEASE NOTE: Due to Covid 19 - holding in-person registrations at the schools was not permitted this year.)
Q: How can I sign up?
A: We begin taking registrations in April, traditionally at our Open Registration Night or with our online registration system that opens on April 15th. Please see our REGISTRATION PAGE for more details. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, registrations will be held online only at this time.
Q: Is financial aid available?
A: Yes, assistance is available. Please contact any board member, or if you prefer, Dan, our President. Any information will be kept confidential.
Q: How do I find out about cancellations?
A: Cancellations due to unsafe field conditions are posted on our website and Facebook as well as through our QuickClub app used by many of our coaches.
Q: What is included in the registration fee?
A: Your child will be provided with a uniform consisting of a shirt, shorts, and socks. Every player will play approximately 12 to 16 games in addition to practices.
Q: What else do I need?
A: Required equipment: Shin guards, soft-cleated soccer shoes (NO BASEBALL AND FOOTBALL CLEATS), Boys - a hard athletic supporter, and a division appropriate ball - U6 - U8 a #3 Ball | U10 - U12 a #4 Ball | U14 - U19 a #5 Ball. Highly recommended: Water!! Lots of it! A mouthguard.
Additionally, some articles are strictly prohibited. No jewelry may be worn at either practices or games. Medical neck chains and bracelets can be worn but must be taped, (please inform the referee of the medical situation). Players should be discouraged from having ears pierced during the season as earring studs or ornamental studs cannot be worn and referees are not allowed to make exceptions. Barrettes and plastic headbands are not allowed although the players are allowed to tie hair back with rubber bands or "scrunchies." Bandanas are considered forms of adornment and therefore are prohibited.
Q: Are there any openings left?
A: Sign up now! After July 15th, any new registrants will be put on a waiting list.

Q: If I sponsor, will my child be on that team?
A: Yes! Be sure to note that you will sponsor a team on your child's application.

I hope this message finds you, and your
families, well, safe and healthy.
It's that time of the year... our
Registration process is now open for our MESL Fall Soccer 2021
season! We are very excited as we prepare for the
upcoming season. Registration is open for all players between the birth years
of 2003 and 2017.
We are looking forward to another
successful and safe season. We absolutely came together as a community as we
navigated through our 2020 season while dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. We
couldn't be more proud of our league's honesty and integrity while answering
the COVID Screening Questions prior to each day scheduled to play...where
everyone's health and safety were our number one priority. We are expecting to
have our 2021 season conducted similarly, and will be asking for everyone's
support with whatever the CDC and the NH Governor's guidelines are for this
year's events.
We will be looking for volunteer
coaches, assistant coaches, team parents... as our organization is solely run
by volunteers. If interested, or if you need additional information about
these roles, please feel free to reply to this email. We are also looking
for local Sponsors. Do you own a local business or know someone who
does? This is a great way to get your company name out to our community
and support a great cause!

hesitate to reach out to me.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone
in the fall!

MESL is asking for your support of our league with your sponsorship of our 2021 soccer season. Donations to MESL help ensure that each and every child in our community, who wants to play soccer, can play soccer - in a safe, clean, and fun environment. We’ve created many “package deals” so that we can offer better opportunities for you and your business to be NOTICED and to become part of our community. As you know, one of the most important forms of advertising is word-of-mouth and word-of-mouth spreads fast as a sponsor of our league!
With over 400 players, Manchester East Soccer League provides intra-league competition for ages 4 to 18, inter-league competition for ages 12 to 18, and a whole lot of fun in the process! Padden Field at Stevens Pond Park also is home to the Central High School Girls soccer team and Manchester Girls Softball League.
Please visit our Sponsor Page for more information!
This year, instead of our typical Cash Calendar Fundraiser where we hand out books of calendars to every player to sell to family and friends, we’ve put together our first-ever completely VIRTUAL CASH CALENDAR FUNDRAISER. Friends and family can purchase cash calendars from you with Paypal or a credit card right from our website. Please take a minute to share with your family and friends by sharing our Facebook posts or by emailing this information! If we can get every player to sell just five cash calendars that would be fantastic!
